4 places for a summertime dinner under the stars in Bologna

The hot season has come and my will to stay out, especially at night, reaches maximum levels! I love summertime nights and I think it’s the best to have dinner outside, talking under the stars :). In Bologna there are many places where you can have fresh nights out, in the city center or outside it: here I will reveal you 4 of my favorite ones, where you can spend amazing long summer nights in adorable gardens, lighted just by long string of bulbs and the stars 🙂

Bottega di Franco

Bottega di Franco is a unique place, a precious secret, as it’s kind of isolated in a suburb area… if you don’t know about it you can think it’s a private house! But this lovely cottage, 10 minutes far by car from the city center in the Zanardi area, it’s really an enchanted place! Decorated in a shabby chic style with lovely details this is a place that gives its best during summertime, thanks to an amazing garden. High level cuisine for a gourmet and romantic unforgettable night! But be careful.. you can fall in love easily with this place!

Osteria Bartolini

In the heart of the city center Osteria Bartolini is a real certainty if you wish to have delicious fish courses. This place opened a year ago (the owners already have some famous restaurants in the Romagna’s coast, in Cesenatico and Milano Marittima) and it has become lots of people favorite for its welcoming style and the super seafood dishes. During summertime it’s the best time to go there as you can eat outside in the garden, under strings of light bulbs and a big tree that creates a leaves ceiling. Even if you are in the city center (Piazza Malpighi) it seems to be somewhere else! Perfect  for a relaxing night with friends 🙂

Fienile Fluò

I told you about Fienile Fluò already in this post , about its magical atmosphere in the middle of Bologna’s hills… a lovely place for a summer night out.

The beautiful garden full of roses with the vintage tables and chairs can be an amazing place to watch a sunset, feeling in a world apart away from everything! A romantic and relaxing place, for a quiet dinner or simply for a loooong aperitivo 🙂

Osteria Scaccomatto agli Orti di Orfeo

I wrote already last summer in this post about the dinner nights organized by Osteria Scaccomatto agli Orti di Orfeo in via della Braina. I am really happy that I can tell you again about them as they have become a standing appointment in the bolognese summer :).

In this incredible garden in the heart of the historical city center, usually closed to people, 2 or 3 times a week a magic happens: this green area becomes a dreamy garden, under figs’ trees, in between vineyards all under strings of little light bulbs… Every night there’s a different fixed menù and you can taste really good wines paired with gourmet dishes, that make the night even more pleasant. It’s for sure a really romantic atmosphere, but it can also be perfect for an intimate dinner with friends ;).
