I love to go out to eat, try new places and meet people. Bologna offers so many possibilities for this and something that represents well this city is for sure the conviviality of eating together. There are so many places that sometimes I really don’t know which one to choose!
Sometimes, though, you need to eat at the office or maybe sometimes at night for dinner you prefer to stay home but with no will to cook, so food delivery services can be really useful. When I came in Bologna for the university I remember I got impressed that a lot of pizzerias would take you home at any hour pizzas, a service that didn’t exist in the little town from where I came from 😉
Lots of time has passed since then and everything has changed in a better way! In Bologna there’s a really well working delivery service called Just Eat, thanks to which you can let you deliver food choosing between some restaurants’ menus, not only pizzerias. When they gave me a coupon to try the service I was really happy to test it in Bologna and discover between which choices you could order in my city.
To order you have to go to the website www.justeat.it or download the app on your mobile (super easy to use) and then writing your home address or the position you want to receive your order.
After that you’ll find out all the restaurants that deliver in that area, sorted by type of cuisine and with all the info and customers’ rating (super useful!)
I tested for a lunch break something different, a place I did not know and that inspired me a lot (loved their name, which is a typical Bolognese slang expression, meaning wonder): I order at “Sorbole”, a place that offers healthy food (which I like and that it’s perfect for lunch) as soups, vegetarian dishes, salads, extracted juices, icecream and fresh fruit salads.
I invited a friend at my place for a girly lunch with some chatting to make, and there it is what I let here find on the table 🙂
I must say that the order and the delivery where super fast and without any catch and I was able to welcome my friend with a colourful, healthy and also delicious lunch! I didn’t know this place and I found out that besides this sales point in via Zamboni 26/B they just opened another one in via Riva di Reno N°13 and in springtime they’ll open a new one at the Quadrilatero! Now, when I’ll walk by I am curious to discover how it looks “live”, but for the delivery part I’ll put it in my “OK” list for sure 🙂
I love to try new tastes and I found out thanks to Just Eat that there are a lot of ethnic restaurants I didn’t know, especially indian and greek, and I want to try them all! There are also lots of croissanterie, icecream parlours and creperie that can be really useful, maybe if you want to organized a quick sunday brunch at your place or just if you crave for some sweetness and you really don’t want to go out (every happened to you? To me really often :P).
I also intepreted in my personal way the food delivery service and one day, after they delivered my japonese order, I went for my lunch break, with the picnic kit they gave me, to a place I really love, the little square of the Lumiere Cinema… a romantic option, maybe perfect to surprise someone 🙂
NB: on the 12th and 19th October 2016 there will be two treasure hunts in Bologna for finding 1000€ worth coupons for buying on Just Eat. Cool!
